Yorkshire Wedding at Leeds Civic Hall

Sometimes small things come in big packages (or is it the other way around?!) and the most intimate of weddings can be the most emotionally charged beautiful occasions.

Elliot & Beibei’s wedding in the heart of Leeds City Centre was just that!

A micro wedding that only had only a handful of guests turned into one of the best and most emotionally charged weddings I’d had the pleasure of covering. I got some amazing emotional reaction shots of Elliot while he waited for his beautiful bride Beibei to arrive down the aisle. Elliot was drawn to tears just before his bride arrived as the pressure of all the day came to a head and I captured this perfectly (in a discreet way of course!). It was a glorious bright sunny day and I remember the strong shafts of sunlight creeping through the curtains in the dimly lit Leeds Civic Hall which gave a very cinematic dramatic effect.

After their intimate wedding ceremony the couple and their guests took to the streets of Leeds City Centre for their walk to their reception venue at The Trinity Centre Leeds. A group of noisy hens made a big fuss of the couple and applauded them in the street as they made their way down the busy streets towards the city centre.

Elliot & Beibei chose The Crafthouse Restaurant for their reception venue; which is a very classy, tasteful rooftop bar situated right in the heart of Leeds most popular Trinity shopping centre on the top floor. It was great to get shots of them both with the urban surroundings of Leeds and really made it special. Just goes to show that you don’t need a massive venue or loads of guests to make your day unique and memorable.

This wedding really did go down as one of my favourite weddings of 2021!

Here’s a selection of my favourite shots from their day:
