Engagement portrait shoot at Mercure Bradford Wedding Venue, Shipley

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting Emily & Chris’s engagement portraits ahead of their wedding at the Mercure Bradford Bankfield Hotel, Shipley West Yorkshire.

It was lovely to meet them both in the flesh after our initial wedding photography consultation via zoom. Always prefer actually meeting couples in person and with the engagement shoot it really helps us all get to know eachother better before the big wedding day and helps to get you relaxed infront of the lens to prepare you for your actual wedding photography, as let’s face it…none of us are professional models and we all need a little bit of coaching when it comes to posing for wedding photography.

Emily and Chris actually didn’t need much help with relaxing and enjoying the moment while I shot their portraits and they seemed to be naturals at posing…without posing! It’s certainly a bit of a knack but they took to it like ducks to water.
The Mercure Bradford was a lovely wedding venue to be able to shoot at with a lovely green space at the rear of the building with amazing vistas of the surrounding countryside. So when it comes to doing their wedding photography it’s going to be amazing.

Their wedding at the Mercure Bradford will be at the end of August so hoping for some nice sunny weather on the day but if not will bring my own sunshine courtesy of my mobile lights and sunsets if needs be!

Here’s my selection of images from the shoot to give you an idea anyway.
