Wildwood & Eden Tipi Wedding, Scarborough

Scarborough was a frequent location last year for me for my Yorkshire weddings last Summer and Christina & Griffin’s tipi wedding at Wildwood & Eden was truly one to remember! I really loved the chilled out atmosphere and rustic feel Wildwood & Eden gives off with their barn for the ceremony proceedings and tipi’ for the wedding breakfast.

Situated within easy access of York, Malton, Whitby & Hull, Wildwood & Eden is the perfect location on the outskirts of Scarborough.

I got to know the couple via an online meeting as they were based thousands of miles away in Vietnam. A very grounded and chilled out couple that both taught young children in Vietnam. Griffin having family in the USA and Christina, Yorkshire. I was really impressed with how well they planned their wedding from such a distance, with the amazing flowers (created by Christina’s mother) and decor, it really did look stunning.

Bridal prep was at Scalby Lodge, Wildwood & Eden’s linked accommodation with it’s spectacular views of the Scarborough coast. On the morning of their wedding we were blessed with glorious wall to wall sunshine as you can see from the gallery pictures and it felt more like the French Riviera than Scarborough coast. But this soon changed and the thunder storms arrived just as the ceremony began so back to good old Yorkshire weather!

After an emotion filled ceremony in the converted barn, simply called ‘The Barn at Flatts Farm’ all the guests went on to the bar at the rear of the tipi section of the venue and had drinks. Loved this secluded part of the venue, with it’s fairy lights and low key atmosphere. Made for some amazing backdrops as you can see with bokeh balls and chilled ambience.

The sun came back out for doing the bridal portraits and I even caught the rainbow in the background for some shots.

I’ve never come across the wedding shoe game..which they had after their wedding breakfast. Each of them were asked questions about the other which tested the couples knowledge about eachother, a bit like (I’m showing my age now) Mr & Mrs, a very old TV show that used to air years back.

Really was a fun way of ending the proceedings!
